About the Opportunity

Redriver.rent is seeking two highly motivated and detail-oriented Law Associates to join our growing legal team in Hyderabad. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Corporate Law and U.S. Real Estate Law, with significant exposure to the multifamily housing sector.

The position is ideal for recent law graduates and early-career legal professionals who are eager to build expertise in sophisticated cross-border legal matters. Successful candidates will work closely with internal stakeholders, external counsel, lenders, investors, and property management professionals while developing strong analytical, research, and legal drafting skills.

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, professional judgment, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality legal work.


Eligibility

Required

  • LL.B. / B.A. LL.B. / B.B.A. LL.B. degree from a recognized institution.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Willingness to work full-time from our Hyderabad office.

Preferred

  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in Corporate Law, Real Estate Law, Litigation Support, Contract Management, Due Diligence, or related practice areas are welcome.

Key Responsibilities

1. Legal Research & Analysis

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using primary legal authorities as the first source of reference.
  • Support legal conclusions with accurate citations and relevant legal authority.
  • Prepare legal memoranda, summaries, issue analyses, and research reports.
  • Distinguish legal analysis from commercial or business considerations.
  • Identify legal risks, ambiguities, and areas of uncertainty and communicate them effectively.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting corporate and real estate operations.

2. Document Management & Legal Operations

  • Maintain organized legal records and document repositories.
  • Follow standardized file naming conventions and document management protocols.
  • Prepare and maintain exhibit indexes, trackers, and supporting documentation.
  • Monitor document versions and maintain version control discipline.
  • Ensure strict compliance with confidentiality obligations and protection of privileged communications.

3. Professional Judgment & Risk Management

  • Identify and escalate legal, regulatory, and operational risks promptly.
  • Provide balanced and well-reasoned legal assessments.
  • Recognize situations requiring attorney review or escalation.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment while considering broader business objectives.
  • Maintain high ethical and professional standards at all times.

4. Meetings & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Independently conduct internal and external meetings when required.
  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, external counsel, investors, lenders, and service providers.
  • Prepare concise meeting agendas, minutes, action items, and follow-up communications.
  • Support legal and operational discussions involving real estate assets and transactions.

Learning & Exposure Opportunities

Associates may have the opportunity to participate in and observe:

  • Investor documentation and due diligence reviews.
  • Eviction and litigation-support file preparation processes.
  • Property management and delinquency review meetings.
  • Lender negotiations and foreclosure-related discussions.
  • Corporate governance and compliance projects.
  • Real estate transaction reviews and legal strategy discussions.

Portfolio & Process Improvement Projects

Successful candidates will contribute to the continuous improvement of the legal function by:

  • Maintaining and updating the firm's legal tracker and reporting systems.
  • Standardizing legal documentation and indexing processes.
  • Developing issue-spotting frameworks and legal review templates.
  • Preparing monthly legal and regulatory update summaries.
  • Supporting knowledge management and legal process optimization initiatives.
